Standard Business Reporting (SBR2) and Auth0 login upgrades

We were recently informed by the ATO that SBR 1 is being deactivated and lodgment will soon be disabled, impacting easyFBT releases from 2016 to 2019.

This change has enabled us to revisit and update various components and features, providing a consistent software foundation across all years, primarily affecting the use of the Microsoft .Net Framework.

In addition to these changes, our Auth0 login system has become outdated and challenging to use. For easyFBT 2026, we upgraded this process and have also now back-ported this into all required releases. As previously mentioned the ATO requires this login system to be available when using SBR2.

Note: Generally, no additional core changes have been made or features back-ported unless necessary.

All updated installers are now available from the Downloads page.

Changes

The following general changes have been made to each release:

• easyFBT 2016 - Updated Microsoft .Net Framework from v3.5 to v4.8, updated SBR1 to SBR2 and added the Auth0 login system

• easyFBT 2017 - Updated Microsoft .Net Framework from v3.5 to v4.8, updated SBR1 to SBR2 and added the Auth0 login system

• easyFBT 2018 - Updated Microsoft .Net Framework from v3.5 to v4.8, updated SBR1 to SBR2 and added the Auth0 login system

• easyFBT 2019 - Updated Microsoft .Net Framework from v4.6.2 to v4.8, updated SBR1 to SBR2 and added the Auth0 login system

• easyFBT 2020 (v2020.1.0.9) - Updated Microsoft .Net Framework from v4.6.2 to v4.8 and added the Auth0 login system

• easyFBT 2021 (v2021.1.0.5) - Updated Microsoft .Net Framework from v4.6.2 to v4.8 and added the Auth0 login system

• easyFBT 2022 (v2022.1.0.12) - Updated the Auth0 login system

• easyFBT 2023 (v2023.1.0.7) - Updated the Auth0 login system

• easyFBT 2024 (v2024.1.0.11) - Updated the Auth0 login system
