September 2025 Release
The following changes and enhancements have been made in this release of easyFBT 2026 (2026.1.0.1):
Microsoft Windows WebView2 runtime support notice
As part of our integration with WebView2 runtime (outlined below), we want to reiterate that easyFBT is only supported on currently supported versions of Microsoft Windows and Windows Server.
This requirement aligns with guidance from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), which mandates that the login authentication system must be fully operational to enable lodgment of returns via the Standard Business Reporting (SBR) platform.
If the WebView2 runtime is not already installed on your system, you may need assistance from your IT department to ensure it is available. However, in most cases, this runtime is already present on supported systems.

Login Authentication
The Login Authentication dialog has been updated to restore the full login functionality provided by the Auth0 authentication system. This has necessitated replacing the older Web Browser component used with the latest WebView2 runtime provided by Microsoft which is available on the most recent Windows 10 and all Windows 11 operating systems and their equivalent Windows Server versions by default.
Notes
During installation of easyFBT 2026 you will be advised on the availability and version of WebView2 found on your operating system.
The "About" panel in easyFBT 2026 will also list the version found on your operating system.
Workpapers
Live-In Residential Carer (New Workpaper)
The Live-in Residential Carer workpaper is only available for PBI employer types that are income tax exempt bodies. This is a special workpaper used for calculating the RFBA value only as they are FBT exempt benefits but still have an RFBA calculated for each employee. These benefits are not included in the $30,000 aggregate exempt amounts that are shown in the PBI capping reports.
General changes
As with each FBT year, rates and other values are required to be updated. The following changes have been made for the 2026 FBT year:
Updated the Car Parking public holidays table with the 2025/26 State/Territory gazetted public holidays;
Updated CPI Indexation factors for Housing;
Updated the Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA) country codes and rates;
Updated Declarations for 2026 FBT year;
Updated the Workpaper Column Help with some additional information; and
Updated all components and packages used by easyFBT to the latest available versions.
